Q:

The Aspirin and Codeine I took when I had Shingles are not helping me now?

A:

Painkillers commonly used to relieve the pain of shingles such as aspirin
and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NASIDs), acetominophen (Tylenol),
and narcotics such as codeine are for some reason very ineffective against PHN.
