factors increase your chances...
Severe Shingles...If you have a severe attack of shingles, and especially if you suffered
significant
pain before the rash appeared, you are more likely to get PHN.
Increasing age...The older your are when you have Shingles, the more likely you are to suffer PHN.
Extreme immunosuppression...Individuals with greatly weakened immune systems from disease or
medical
treatment are more likely to suffer PHN.
