Drugs used for epileptic seizures are also used for PHN pain?

Anticonvulsant drugs are used to control the abnormal activity in brain cells
that produce the convulsions of epilepsy. They are also sometimes useful in
controlling spasms of stabbing pain in PHN, especially those triggered
by nonpainful sensations (allodynia).
