PHN can be successfully treated with antodrpressant drugs?

Antiviral drugs have become leading tools in relieving shingles, just as antidepressants
have become leading tools in relieving PHN. Specific antidepressants knows as tricyclics
are used to treat PHN, but they are given in much smaller doses than those used to
treat depression. They apparently work by hindering the transmission of pain impulses
to the brain.
